Dr Niall Corcoran

Niall Corcoran is a Melbourne-based urologist with an interest in prostate and bladder cancer. He completed his medical schooling and early surgical training in Dublin, before emigrating to Australia. He obtained a PhD in tumour biology from the University of Melbourne and his urology training in Victoria, before undertaking a uro-oncology fellowship at the University of British Columbia in Vancouver.

He heads the urology unit at Western Health in Melbourne, with further appointments at Royal Melbourne and Frankston Hospitals. He is an associate professor (research) in the Department of Surgery, University of Melbourne, where his group works in prostate cancer genomics, bio-markers, and early phase clinical trials.
