Dr Simon Talbot

Dr. Simon Talbot is a board-certified plastic and hand surgeon at Brigham and Women’s Hospital and an Associate Professor of Surgery at Harvard Medical School. He specializes in hand surgery and microsurgery and is Director of Upper Extremity Transplantation.
Dr. Talbot’s research interests include upper extremity transplantation, nerve regeneration optimization, and psychosocial aspects of major extremity surgery. He is funded by the US Department of Defense and runs research in collaboration with surgeons at the Uniformed Services University of Health Sciences.
Administratively, Dr Talbot is the co-chair of the BWH Physicians’ Council. He is heavily involved in optimizing patient care through a focus on physician wellbeing: lecturing, writing and consulting nationally.
